Proudly African Kart Wins on Debut Season

News

Karting Africa · 1 November 2026

We launched the Karting Africa Mini chassis this year, and in its very first season it has won two titles: the Micro Max South African Championship and the Micro Max Regional Championship, both with Radhi Harris behind the wheel.

A debut season to remember

Winning one championship in a first season is special. Winning both the national and the regional title is something else entirely. From the first race weekend to the final flag, the Karting Africa Mini proved it could run at the front — and stay there.

Huge congratulations to Radhi Harris, who drove the Karting Africa Mini to both titles in its debut year. Radhi put in the work all season, and it showed every time he hit the track.

Meet Radhi Harris

Radhi is a young Cape Town driver who comes from a family where motorsport runs deep. He finished second in his very first competitive race in 2023 — a result that earned him his kart number, 23 — and he has been winning ever since.

In 2024 he won the Western Province Regional Championship, the South African National Bambino Championship and the T4 Nations Cup World Championship in Valencia, and he took victory in Spain's Tillotson Bambino class on his overseas debut. He also holds the lap record at Killarney.

Radhi stepped up to Micro Max in 2025, a faster, more technical class. This year, 2026, he stepped into the Karting Africa Mini chassis and won, delivering its first national and regional championships. He is exactly the kind of young African talent this movement exists to support.

The Karting Africa Mini

The Mini was designed and developed in Africa, built for African tracks and young drivers on their way up. The focus is on handling, consistency and easy setup, with parts and expertise based in Africa — so families and teams get real support, not just a chassis.

Winning the national and regional championships in our first season is proof the package works. And this is only the start: we are working on bringing the Karting Africa Mini to young drivers across the continent.

Thank you to Radhi, his family, our team, and everyone who backed the project from day one.
